Bulgaria is in a recession, so what does any good leader do to bring the country out of it you ask? Lower the price of their favorite alcohol. Potentially dropping the price from 8 levs down to 5-6 levs (25-38% drop in price!).
Why didn't we think of this? We even temporarily raised the alcohol tax in Massachusetts.
Is this a brilliant idea or does Bulgaria still suck?
I read a quote a few years ago about a small brewery, and the owner said that despite the recession his sales are still doing well because people are more depressed and want to drink. Great find.
