This weeks salute goes out to a guy who every day walks a very fine line that makes us all question what we think we know. He does things the average man, with good reason, would be too scared to do. He pushes the boundaries of social norms and sets new standards for some of the most commonly known unwritten rules. I can think of no one more deserving than...
... our good friend robby (rmed). Now at this point your probably asking yourself":
"what fine line does robby walk?"
"what does he do that I am too scared to do?"
"what social norms and unwritten rules does he push the boundaries of?"
"why does he deserve a salute?"
Well, the answers to these questions are somewhat disturbing and usually leave you asking more questions. So you are warned, you may not think the same way you do about Robby after you close your browser.
First things first. Robby might be gay. Now I know what your thinking. "Come on. He has a girlfriend." And trust me I thought that too. But we cant just assume that because he has a girlfriend he isn't gay, there are a lot more factors to consider. So here are the facts.
1. He shaves his arms. (POW!) - I told you he did things most men were scared to do.
2. He has more shoes than any guy I know.
3. He always matches.
4. His dog is a tiny little poodle thing.
5. He has a fauxhawk. (and he isn't European)
6. His "girlfriend's" name is Alex. ( nothing against Alex but thats also a boys name.)
7. He's unusually tan in the winter.
Well there are the facts. Now lets look at the rumors I have heard.
1. He blew dustin one time at the beach. (POW!)
2. He may or may not be pretending to be his own mother.
3. The reason he is always late is because he is kissing dudes behind redstone.
4. His "girlfriend" is a girl but she's not really from canada. She is an actress. She just says that she is from canada so she can take time off from this full time acting gig shes got goin on.
Alright so there you go. Im not saying one way or the other about this, but Im a little suspicious. I mean these are some pretty serious issues. If he is gay, he's hiding in the perfect place, in plain sight.
So with that said, and with the repeal of dont ask dont tell...
I Salute you Rob. You walk a fine line. ( May not be a straight line) You keep me guessing (not about my own sexuality). But either way, gay or staight, you deserve this salute. You are either fooling everyone, which deserves a salute. Or you are pushing the boundaries of what it means to be straight. Good for you.
