And so goes another week in the bizarre world of the AL East. I just don't know what to think at this point....mainly because I have a hangover. But i digress. Lets get into some baseball.
Boston (2-9):
So the Sox had a roller-coaster like week. They broke the loosing streak, took 2 of 3 from the Yanks, shit the bed against Tampa, and capped it off by signing Adrian Gonzalez to a 7-year, $154 million contract. So what should a Sox fan take out of this? Essentially...don't read Yahoo. They're fucking retarded. They issued their weekly power rankings and have the Sox sitting at 30...yup i said 30...it must be a practical joke...nope...they're serious. Look, the bats are going to come around. Sure Dice - HR, I mean K, and John Shellacky can't get anyone out, but Josh Beckett finally remembered he's Josh Beckett and Lester is doing his thing. Honestly the only real hole I see on this team is behind the plate. Other than that, I expect the pitching to get better in the back end of the rotation. They might need a little more than good old Matt Foley these days, so try this shit on for size.
New York (7-4):
So it seems like everything is going right for me and McGraw these days. Despite a hiccup in Fenway over the weekend, the Yanks find themselves sitting in 1st. Now, I'm going to be the first to take these early season standings with a grain of salt. Phill Hughes needs to wake his ass up if this team is going to be successful. However, Bartolo Colon has been doing his best early career Bartolo Colon impersonation lately. He's turned in back-to-back strong outings out of the pen. This kind of pressure could be just what Hughes needs to get motivated. The line-up is hot and cold from top to bottom. Jeter and Gardner can't hit...A-Rod and Cano are shitting on everyone....and apparently the only thing Jorge can do is hit solo homers. We'll really see what this team is made of this weekend against Texas....even though Josh Hamilton is dead. They should be fine unless Marky Mark has anything to say about it....
**Something else that is noteworthy, Derek Jeter passed Barry Bonds on the all time hits list last night. Suck on that shit fat head. Jeter is sitting at 2936.
I hate you Sac. Your Yankees still suck even if they are in 1st place and the Sox are playing like shit. I still think the Sox finish in 1st at the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteWell Mr. Anonymous so brave of you to try to call me out. I'm really glad to see you had the balls to put your name by your post. Anyways, clearly you didn't pay attention to a single thing I said. Not only do I see the Sox turning it around but I predicted them to win the east.....Also good to see you used some solid statistical backing to your claim of the Yankees "sucking"...yup first place means they suck...didn't realize I was talking to a 5th grader.
ReplyDeleteI read the part about the Sox turning it around. I don't see anything about you thinking they finish in 1st in the AL East but thats ok. I still hate you and I think you are goofy looking and that you smell funny. I don't have time to argue with you Sac I am to busy trying to figure out how to tame the guy that yells "Thats the way the Bombers hit" and "Lets go Mikey Ballgame"
ReplyDeleteWell person who is now clearly Dan. The AL East Weekly recap is a weekly posting. This is the third edition. In the pre-season predictions page I predicted them to take first along with Lester winning the Cy Young and Gonzalez winning the MVP.
ReplyDeleteJust read your first instalment Secondini. You do say that the Sox will win the east and everything else so I apologize. I still hate you though
