BT, as far as I stand, is pretty much one of the OG's of trance music. He's also the lead artist on my "things need to get DONE" playlist.
For those not in the know, trance is sort of the middle of the road in electronica. If techno is "hard" and ambient is well, soft, trance is pretty much dead in the middle. Side note, people who like trance are hardcore about it. Like, my obsession with Halo hardcore does not compare.
Anyways, he was a huge influence on the beginnings of trance becoming its own art form.
I mean, it's not quite something you're going to blast if you want people to go insane in the cluuub, but it's cluuub worthy.
Sometime around the New Millennium, BT discovered breaks and breakbeats and stuff. Perhaps you might recognize this song?
No homo, all those breaks in the beginning? BT.
BT went on to do some soundtracks like the WHOLE original Fast and the Furious soundtrack. his Wiki is littered with the best soundtracks you've ever heard.
Anyways, after creating the software app BreakTweaker to dominate all over the place he made my top 5 favorite albums ever. This binary universe. Listen to this and tell me you didn't get anything done. LIARS.
Seriously, look at his wiki, guy is ALL over the place. Guy played with the ROOTS.
Oh yeah, spring mounted keyboard of WIN. Everything that isn't straight bass he's playing. Hint: a lot.
Lately he's been just killing it with straight electronica madness.
dont touch/talk to/look at/think about cooper when he has his "things need to get DONE" playlist on...cus all hes getting done is jerking off
ReplyDeleteHaha - gotta say I'm not feeling this. The first song sounded like he recorded whales making random noises and just played them behind a beat. Don't tell me I'm wrong!
ReplyDeleteDid you mean to say "If techno is "hard" and ambient is well, soft, trance is pretty much half mast...that's what she said." Haha
